1 liter equals 1000 milliliters

That means that 1.2 liters of water is equal to 1200 milliliters of water
1.2 Lx1000 mL/L=1200 L
and 20 milliliters of water equals 0.020 L of water
20mLx(1 L/1000 mL)=0.020 L
