The Sherman antitrust act of 1980 was intended to protect the public from avaricious buisiness practices designed to limit or elimante competition in the marketplace.

As the America economy grow, especially with the advenr of the industrial revolution in the newly established united states. The Sherman objetive was protect people against avaricious buisiness practice.
