Subtracting a positive and adding a negative number are completely different operations. T/F?

Here's how you can solve this question yourself:

[tex]4 - 2 = 2[/tex]

[tex]-4 + -2 = -6[/tex]

So, the answer would be "false" or the second option. As you can see from the examples above they're not the same one equals a negative one equals a positive.
