The correct answer is B.

First I found the slope using the given coordinate (-2,-5) and I picked the other by looking at the graph and choosing a point clearly marked. I chose (0,-1).

slope is the change in y over the change in x.

Y2-Y1 / X2-X1

(-1 - (-5)) / (0-(-2))

Watch your signs! The two negatives become positive here.

The slope is 4/2, or just 2.

Now, the next thing you need to know is point slope form.

Y - Y1 = M(X-X1)

Y-(-5)=2(X-(-2))

Again, watch signs!

This becomes:

y + 5 = 2(x+2)
