Between the 1870s and 1900, Africa faced European imperialist aggression, diplomatic pressures, military invasions, and eventual conquest and colonization.
The main economic reasons why Europeans wanted to colonize the African continent is to make more income off of their native minerals and miterials. Political reasons were to establish government. The social reason was so that the africans could be liek the Europeans as they are so called better than africans.
