Answer: Hi!

To find the distance of the point from each axis, all we have to do is look at the x and the y coordinates of the points. If we wanted to find the distance that point P was from the x axis, we would look at our y - coordinate:

(x, y) = (3, 4) So, point P is 4 units away from the x -axis.

Now we need to look at the x - coordinate to find the distance that point P is from the y axis:

(x, y) = (3, 4) So, point P is 3 units away from the y - axis.
