The lungs help with pumping of blood throughout the body.

The lungs take in oxygen into the body and the blood distributes oxygen to cells throughout the body.

The lungs take in carbon dioxide and blood distributes it to cells in the body.

Waste product from the blood is expelled out of the body through the lungs.
