The expression 96^2 - 95^2 is a difference of two squares. How can you use the factors (96 - 95)(96 +95) to make it easier to simplify this expression?

the first factor simplifies to 1 and the second factor simplifies to 191, which are very easy to evaluate. Hence,

96^2 - 95^2 = (96-95)(96+95)
= (1)(191)
= 191

the answer is 191 :)
