Multiply both sides by 2/(u + v) to get..

t = 2s/(u + v)

If you are solving for u, then...

s = t(u + v)/2

Multiply both sides by 2/t to get..

2s/t = u + v

Hence, by subtracting both sides by v, we obtain:

u = (2s/t) - v

I hope this helps!
