Explanation:

Organisms need food to survive. If their food is gone, they won’t thrive as well. This isn’t saying they’ll go extinct, as they may have other food sources, but life will be harder with one food source gone. Since grasshoppers eat grass, the grass population will rise some due to a lack of predation. Hope it helps :)
