the common ratio can be found by dividing the second term by the first term.
(3/4) / (-1/2) = 
3/4 * -2 =
- 6/4 which reduces to - 3/2 <== common ratio

check...
-1/2 * -3/2 = 3/4
3/4 * -3/2 = -9/8
correct....u can find each term by multiplying it by ur common ratio of -3/2
