Explanation:

When graphing an inequality, graph each line that is a part of the inequality, then decide which region x lies in.

So for 2 - x < y ≤ 3x-1:

  1. Graph 2 - x
  2. Graph 3x - 1
  3. Find and shade the region that is above the line 2-x (not including 2-x), but below (and including) the line 3x - 1.

Note: a solid line is used to indicated "inclusion" while a broken line is used to indicate "not included"
