Area of a triangle is base × height ÷2
base=8x+4 x=-4/8 x=-1/2
height=3x-4 x=4/3

A=b×h÷2
A=(-1/2×4/3)÷2
A=(-4/6)÷2
A=(-4/6)÷2/1 to divide by fractions flip the second and multiply
A=-4/6×1/2
A=-4/12
