first we have to put 2y-6=2x into slope-intercept form

2y-6=2x
take -6 and move it to the other side of the = by adding 6 to both sides

2y=2x+6
divide both sides of the = by 2 so we can get y on its own

y=x+3
this is our equation in slope-intercept form
