The temperature on a particular day started at –13°F. It rose steadily by 3° each hour. The function y = –13 + 3x models the temperature, where x is the number of hours and y is the temperature. Graph the equation.

To graph this equation, which is just a line, you only need two points on it (any two, it does not matter)

y=-13+3x  so

y(0)=-13ex

y(1)=-10

so you now have two points, (0.-13) and (1,-10)

place a dot at each point and trace a line between them and extend that line as far as you wish in either direction.
