Find the y-intercept of the line whose equation is 3x - 4y = -2.

3x -4y=-2

subtract 3x from the left side and subtract it to the right

you get
-4y= -3x -2

divide each side by -4

you get

y= 3/4x- 1/2


y-intercept = - 1/2
