What is the slope of the line joining (3,8) and (12,11) . Show work

Slope is found by doing this formula:
[tex] \frac{rise}{run} [/tex]
So, if we graph the points. We will see that the y value changes
[tex]11-8=3[/tex]
That's our rise.

Then, for the run
[tex]12-3=9[/tex]

The slope would look like this

Our fraction: [tex] \frac{3}{9} [/tex]
[tex]3/9=0.3333...[/tex]
That's our slope!
