2(x + 3) > = -10 - 4x...distribute thru the parenthesis
2x + 6 > = -10 - 4x ....add 4x to both sides
2x + 4x + 6 > = -10 - 4x + 4x...simplify
6x + 6 > = -10 ...subtract 6 from both sides
6x + 6 - 6 > = -10 - 6...simplify
6x > = -16...divide both sides by 6
(6/6)x = -16/6
x = - 8/3 <==
