How did andrew jackson's view of the privileges of public office differ from those of his predecessor, john quincy adams?

Jackson felt that the commoner should have the privileges of public office, instead of those who came from means and had the upbringing to attain such positions. Adams was more in line with his forebears: people who were well-to-do, landed men should be the ones who are given the positions of power and prestige in governmental office.
